getRouteHazards

Scan the enroute corridor — not just the departure and destination airports — for weather and airspace hazards. The Copilot samples waypoints along the great-circle track and returns SIGMETs/G-AIRMETs, TFRs, and Special Use Airspace near each segment, and tells you how many waypoints it sampled.

ProblemWhat it solves

The problem this tool solves

Airport-only weather misses what is waiting in the middle of the leg. The Copilot samples points along your route and surfaces convection, icing, TFRs, and SUA along the way. It is explicit that this is a SAMPLED corridor scan, not an exhaustive briefing — always get an official briefing (1-800-WX-BRIEF) for complete coverage.

Example interaction

Pilot asks

Any hazards enroute from KPDK to KJFK at 9,500 ft?

Copilot responds

Sampled 7 waypoints along the KPDK→KJFK corridor: SIGMET for moderate icing FL080–FL150 over the Appalachians (segment 3), one TFR near KIAD (segment 4). Sampled scan, not a full briefing — call 1-800-WX-BRIEF for complete coverage.
