What we ingest

Current-hour AQI observations for 23 US metropolitan sample points — 20 in the continental US plus Anchorage, Honolulu and San Juan — queried by latitude/longitude within a 50-mile radius, each with its pollutant, AQI value, category and the visibility impact we derive from it. Outside the continental US the published parameter set is thinner: the Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico reporting areas carried particulate matter but no ozone when we measured AirNow on 2026-07-29.

Where this feed reaches

A region on this list means we fetch it. It is not a promise of station density: a listed region can still have sparse or no reporting sites near a given airport. Where a feed does not reach a region at all, this page says so instead of showing an empty panel.

  • Continental United States
  • Alaska
  • Hawaii
  • Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands
