What we ingest

NASA FIRMS VIIRS NOAA-20 near-real-time hotspot detections (position, brightness, detection confidence, fire radiative power, acquisition date/time) plus NIFC WFIGS current incident LOCATIONS filtered to wildfires (name, size in acres, percent contained). Points only — no fire perimeters: the perimeter product is a separate WFIGS layer we do not fetch, so the edge of a fire is not something this feed can tell you.

Where this feed reaches

A region on this list means we fetch it. It is not a promise of station density: a listed region can still have sparse or no reporting sites near a given airport. Where a feed does not reach a region at all, this page says so instead of showing an empty panel.
