AeroCopilot Link does not exist yet.
It is a desktop helper we may build. Nothing on this page is available today, nothing here is for sale, and there is no way to pay for it — deliberately. This is the plan, the conditions it has to clear first, and the honest odds.
Home simulator time is never loggable — even with a CFI present. Only FAA-approved training devices with a Letter of Authorization qualify (AC 61-136B).
If Link never gets built
Everything you can use today keeps working exactly as it does today. The missions, the published tolerances, the kneeboards, the route files and the written debrief are the product — they do not depend on Link and they never will.
Nobody has paid for Link, because there is no way to. If it is never written, no one is owed a refund, because no money changed hands for it. That is the entire reason this page has no checkout on it.
If we decide against building it, we will say so on this page, with the date and the reason, rather than letting it quietly stay "coming soon" forever.
What has to be true first
Link is gated behind evidence, not enthusiasm. Each condition below is measured before the next one is considered, and a waitlist signup is not one of them — an email address tells us someone is interested, which is a different and much weaker fact than someone practicing.

People actually practice
Pilots start missions and come back to write them up. If the loop that exists today does not hold attention, a telemetry helper does not fix that — it just automates a step nobody was completing.

The written debrief earns its keep
The self-report debrief has to be worth reading before an instrumented one is worth writing. If our read of your own words is not useful, richer input will not rescue it.

The economics survive contact
A desktop helper is a signed, supported binary on Windows, with an update channel and a support load — an ongoing cost, not a one-off build. It has to be affordable at the price we already charge, without metering anyone who is paying.

It can be done without a new confusion
Anything Link reads is still a video game. If a richer stream cannot be presented without making a practice session look more like a flight record than it already does, that is a reason not to ship it.
What it would, and would not, do
It would
Read the values your simulator already publishes locally — altitude, airspeed, bank, heading — during a practice session you started.
It would not
Run in the background, start itself, or read anything while you are not in a session you began on purpose.
It would
Send a summary of that session to your account over an ordinary outbound HTTPS request, the same way any desktop app talks to its own service.
It would not
Open a port, accept an inbound connection, or expose anything on your network.

Let you delete a session, and take the recorded values with it, from the same screen you read them on.
It would not
Read your files, your other software, your keystrokes, or anything outside the simulator you pointed it at.
It would
Replace the parts of the write-up a machine can measure, so you spend your typing on judgement instead of numbers.

Produce anything loggable. An instrumented practice session is still a video game and still counts toward nothing.
Where it would run
Windows first, because the interface a simulator exposes for this is a local Windows one and there is no cloud or web equivalent to build against. Consoles are out entirely — they publish nothing a helper could read, and no amount of demand changes that. macOS depends on which simulator you fly and is not promised.

Questions people actually ask
Can I pay to get Link sooner?
No. There is no way to pay for Link on this page or anywhere else, and paying for something else does not move it forward. If that changes, it changes on a page that says so plainly.
Does joining the list reserve anything?
No. It is not a queue, not a seat, and not a discount. It is one address we would write to once if there is ever a build to try.
If Link measured the session, would that make it loggable?
No. Recording a practice session more precisely does not change what it is. A consumer simulator is not an FAA-approved training device, and time in one is not loggable regardless of how the numbers were captured.
Will it work on Xbox or PlayStation?
No, and this is not a scheduling matter. Consoles do not expose the local interface a helper would read, so there is nothing for it to connect to.
What happens to my data if I stop using it?
Deleting a practice session deletes the values recorded with it, and deleting your account removes both. Nothing is retained in a separate ledger you cannot see.
