About this dataset
EPA AirNow AQI for ozone and particulate matter. Current-hour AQI observations for 23 US metropolitan sample points — 20 in the continental US plus Anchorage, Honolulu and San Juan — queried by latitude/longitude within a 50-mile radius, each with its pollutant, AQI value, category and the visibility impact we derive from it. The parameter set outside the continental US differs by point rather than uniformly: measured 2026-08-20, the Honolulu reporting areas published ozone as well as particulate matter, while Anchorage and San Juan (Catano) carried particulate matter only. AI air-quality tool feeds high-altitude pilot oxygen guidance.
